The short-billed bean goose is a waterfowl from the duck family. Previously, it was often considered as a subspecies of the bean goose.
In many ways it is similar to the bean goose.
Usually it is located in small colonies, arranging nests close to one another on bumps, on the tops of hillocks or on heaps of boulders. The nest is a small depression in one of these places and is lined with fluff.
